Hello,
I've been playing the 688(I) sub game for several years now, and it's been working fine on all my computers (even on Vista) up until now. (I have the original version)
When I first installed it on my new Vaio SZ, which is running vista, everything went smoothly, and I got the game working. However, after I'd been playing for about a month, I noticed that I accidentally installed it in the wrong folder, so I went ahead and uninstalled it, and then proceeded to reinstall it in the correct folder. However, every time I try now, I get this error: "ERROR, copying files".
Then, when I try launching the game, it tells me that a graphic has failed to load. Also, nothing is written in the registry, since the installed doesn't get to finish.
Can anyone help me find a solution to this? Do I have to manually insert the registry values and copy the game files from my old computer, on which I still have the game installed and running properly? Perhaps my CD is damaged (though it doesn't appear to have any major scratches)?
Thanks for any help!
